About Yaju

Hi this is me Yaju Acharya. I am a graduate from Rabindra Bharati University, majoring in Music. I have learned to sing since my childhood and have acquired my skills by years of learning and performance experience. I was exposed to Hindustani Classical Music in the beginning of my learning. And I have finished jazz diploma course at Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory recently. I am also a choir singer, who can read and write staff notation and also transcribe all kinds of tune. It would be lovely to connect and share the knowledge I have with you. I can guide you to mold your singing as the song demands.

About the lesson

What can I teach you? - PROPER BREATHING and BODY POSITION The concept of abdominal breathing and appropriate body posture including arms, back, head and fingers position. - MUSICAL NOTATION Basic musical concepts and terms, reading and understanding music sheets - SINGING BY NOTE Keep music count, maintain correct note value and pause during the play; independently learn new pieces from sheet music rather than just by ear IMPROVISE IN VARIOUS STYLES Mix your own personality into every musical piece you play and create your own playing style - TRAIN MUSICAL EAR AND RHYTHM Pick out musical tunes by ear, acquire more informed perception of a musical piece - MICROPHONE-ASSISTED PERFORMANCE Manage the sound with a microphone, properly use sound equipment for your performance - FEEL THE MUSIC MOOD AND CONVEY IT DURING THE PERFORMANCE
