About Alessandra
I am freelance performer living in Newcastle upon Tyne specialising in classical and contemporary music. I am Flute Performance teacher at the Durham University since 2019; Flute tutor (YMP) at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music; Flute tutor at the NHSG, Flute and Music teacher at Emmanuel College. I have been teaching for more than 20 years. I entered pupils for and prepared students for the ABRSM/Trinity examination from Grade 1 to Diploma, flute Diploma and University Flute Performance exams, GCSEs and A-levels performance.
I also play in several ensembles, I have served in many Italian and European orchestras. In UK I have been collaborating with RNS. I am the BFS (British Flute Society) UK Area Representative in Newcastle upon Tyne.
I can teach in English and in Italian

Hello I am Alessandra! I am an enthusiastic flute teacher and professional flautist (MMus in flute at the Conservatory of Cagliari and BMus in Chamber music at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome).
I am a flexible, passionate and friendly teacher. I love teaching flute and music, shaping my lecturing style on the individual needs and interests of the student(s) from Y3 to adults, face to face and online. I focus on the student's personal goals, encouraging and supporting a sustained engagement with studies and different kind of repertoire.
