About Matt

Hi, I’m Matt, an AHPRA-registered ALS Paramedic with over five years of frontline experience working across Victoria. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of responding to a wide range of medical and trauma emergencies — experiences that have shaped both my clinical practice and my teaching philosophy. Alongside my on-road role, I’m a Clinical Instructor and hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, which allows me to mentor and assess new paramedics and healthcare students in both simulated and operational environments. I have a strong passion for education, professional development, and helping students build confidence as they prepare to enter the workforce. My tutoring style is practical, supportive, and grounded in real-world paramedicine. I focus on making complex topics easy to understand and relevant to your studies, helping you connect classroom theory with what you’ll experience in the field.

About the lesson

As an AHPRA-registered ALS Paramedic with over five years of frontline experience and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, I specialise in helping paramedic students bridge the gap between theory and confident clinical practice. I currently work as a Clinical Instructor, supporting learners in both simulated and real-world environments — and I bring that same structured, supportive approach to my online tutoring sessions.

My lessons focus on turning complex clinical concepts into clear, practical knowledge you can confidently apply in exams, simulations and placements. I use scenario-based learning, case studies and guided clinical reasoning exercises to help you think like a paramedic, not just memorise the content.

Each session is tailored to your current course requirements and/or learning goals.

You can expect a mix of:
- Interactive case studies (based on real-world situation)
- Visual learning tools such as flowcharts, ECG examples and drug tables
- Step-by-step exam preparation and assessment guidance
- Personalised feedback to strengthen your clinical decision-making

Lesson Format:
Sessions typically run for 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the topic and your goals. However, I am happy to run longer sessions if you wish.

My lessons are designed for diploma and undergraduate paramedic students seeking extra support in theory or clinical skills, students preparing for placements, assessments or graduate interviews.
