About Carolin

Hallo! I’m Carolin, born and raised in Germany. I’m a qualified primary school teacher and studied education in Braunschweig, Germany. I’ve always loved traveling and learning languages. About a year ago my husband, our two little boys (2 and 4 years old), and I moved to Auckland, New Zealand. Now, I’d love to help you discover the beauty of the German language – its words, its melody, and its culture.

Hi there! I’m a qualified primary school teacher for German, English, and Mathematics, with a DaF certificate (German as a Foreign Language) and over 8 years of teaching experience. Whether you’re just starting out or want to improve your German speaking skills – I’ll help you to reach your goals in a practical-based and friendly atmosphere. What you can expect: -Motivated learning environment -Real-life vocabulary and conversation practice -Deep understanding of diverse learner needs -Available for online lessons worldwide and face to face in Auckland, NZ

Perfect! Carolin coached our son in German while we were on holiday in NZ and we were extremely impressed with her. She was diligent, patient and went the extra mile to prepare for our very specific situation, namely our son's school entry exam in Austria. Although we only had a couple of lessons, he benefitted from them hugely. We are very grateful to Carolin for her support and would warmly recommend her.

We’ve had a wonderful experience with Carolin teaching our 6-year-old German once a week. She is very patient, creative, and adapts each lesson to suit our child’s skill level and learning style.
