About Tristan
I've been playing guitar for 15 years, and my curiosity goes beyond playing. I've built several guitars myself, so I can also help with setup, gear questions, and understanding how your instrument works.
Today I live in Richmond and work in corporate tax and finance. That means I bring the same reliability and organization to teaching that I do at my day job: I show up on time, I come prepared, and I communicate clearly.
Above all, I'm patient and encouraging. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or getting back into it, I'll meet you where you are.

My lessons are built around one goal: getting you playing music you actually love, as quickly as possible.
I spent 10 years in Nashville after graduating from Belmont University, and almost all of my free time went to the guitar. I played, went to shows, jammed with friends, and even built a few guitars from scratch. That gave me a hands-on feel for how the instrument works, not just how to play it.
