About Garrett
I am a passionate guitar tutor with 12 years of teaching experience, helping over 300 students master the art of playing. I teach high school and college students, guiding them from beginner to advanced levels. My journey with the guitar started as a personal passion, and over the years, it has grown into a fulfilling career in education. One of my proudest milestones is seeing my students perform confidently on stage and compose their own music. I believe in a student-centered approach, focusing on technique, creativity, and musical expression. My lessons are flexible, interactive, and designed to suit each student’s learning style. Beyond just playing the guitar, I teach music theory, improvisation, and performance skills. My goal is to inspire students to develop a lifelong love for music and become confident musicians. Whether you want to play for fun or pursue a professional path, I am here to guide you every step of the way.

My teaching method focuses on Accountability, Integrity, Flexibility, and Collaboration to help students grow as skilled and confident guitar players. I design lessons based on each student’s goals, whether they are beginners or advanced players. I emphasize practical learning through structured exercises, song practice, and improvisation.
Accountability keeps students committed to regular practice, while Integrity ensures they build strong musical foundations. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons to different learning styles, and Collaboration makes learning interactive and fun. I also teach music theory, ear training, and performance skills.
Besides guitar, I can teach related subjects like music theory and composition. My goal is to help students develop a deep passion for music and the confidence to play independently.
