About Nate

I dealt poker for over three years and thoroughly enjoyed it. Eventually I had to leave to gain some applicable accounting experience, but it was certainly hard to leave. In Missouri, poker dealers seem to be high in demand!

About the lesson

I will show you the process of becoming a poker dealer very quickly! The course itself (where offered) is 6 weeks long and usually around 4 hours, 4 days a week. Yes, that's 96 hours. Plus, additional outside the class work. However, my best offering is I can show you exactly where I went wrong, and how you can shave dozens of hours of your practice time.

I'd be willing to work out whatever schedule is preferred. Whether its a few hours a week, a few days a week, or just a short chunk of hours total, we could get you well on your way to $45k or better.

Quickly, here's my past with it:
I was frustrated with the $11.00 an hour I was making as a retail store manager, so I googled online for how I could play poker for money. The short response? Possible, but tough. Then I happened to find a local casino hiring, signed on for a 6-week class, and skeptically took the job offered to me upon completion. That was it. I started part-time and was clearing $300 a night in tips (I'd work 3 nights a week, more or less). When I left, I over-heard talk of future schools and thought, "Great! But, why so long??"

So now I'm looking around for part-time work and thought, "Hey, what can I bring to the table that could help people quickly and with the shortest time?" Then I thought of this. The course (again, around 90 hours) is free from some casinos. The problem is, the people teaching it are doing so on overtime and with a dozen or more students. I noticed that every 4-hour class was so filled that I spent about 25 minutes a night with actual practice. So, 90+ hours free with about 10 of them useful, or a much smaller chunk of time with me, $10.00 an hour, and on your way to real money much faster?

Once you feel strong with where I've got you, you'd simply audition for the casino and would get the offer or wouldn't. (That's another point, they make it very directly clear that completing the course does not equal a job offer). So even if you weren't able to secure an offer, you would have spent very little time trying (comparatively).

In my experience, if I got hired, anyone can.
