About Craig
My own art journey started at a very young age. Over the years I have had numerous educational experiences. Independent study, College (received my BFA from Winthrop University), and private classical studio (Barnstone Studios). I have been a full-time sign painter, specializing in hand painting billboard advertisements and commercial signage, muralist, scenic artist, graphic designer, art director, and creative director to mention a few.

I break down the basics of drawing through a series of guided lessons using everyday objects for models. Augmenting these lessons with examples of how the concepts are applied from respected artists works.
Generally I will give an overview of the concept for that lesson and then an assignment to reinforce the concept. Then we will discuss and critique the students work.
These lessons are for anyone who wants to learn to draw well. Anyone can learn to draw, and drawing is the basis of all arts. Drawing is design and exemplifies critical thinking. You may be able to paint without being taught how to draw but you can and will paint better, or any other artistic endeavor. knowing how to draw.
