About Olusola

As Sola Story I am a Creative Facilitator and performance storyteller with an international profile. I am the founder and director of Narrative Mindfulness Ltd, and co-founder of Rebirth of The Griot, a monthly African Storytelling and Spoken Word showcase. My passion is in empowering both groups and individuals to 1. Find their creative storytelling purpose and use it to impact how they present 2. Learn how to use their voice and their creativity to create compelling and inspiring narrative, enhancing their role as Storytellers, Influencers and Public Speakers. When asked why do you storytell? I often reply “to paint change making images with compelling narratives: inspiring children, young people and adults to believe that the world of their longing: of their fond heart’s desire is achievable.” I spin yarns and tell tales in venues all over the UK and internationally. As a performance storyteller myself I have a verifiable track record of consistently engaging, enthralling and powerfully impacting audiences and participants in every interaction. About the lesson

My sessions are always based on experiential learning. In each one you will 1. learn practical techniques 2. Creative Development of compelling narrative 3. Opportunities to perform and develop performance skills that inspire audiences. Even after your first lesson you will be convinced that using these methods will enhance your role as a Storyteller, Influencer or Public Speaker. Question: Do you understand that EVERYONE is a storyteller and has a story to tell? Do you both understand this and know how to tell YOUR story? Well, whether you are a marketer, an influencer, a manager, a public speaker or a facilitator this understanding can enhance the practice of your role. I look forward to helping you, like I have helped many others achieve their Storytelling, Influencing and Public speaking goals. So, if developing your own pathway to self-confidence and expertise around Storytelling, influencing or Public speaking inspires you, then I am happy to help you discover your wise whys (compelling reason why you want to storytell); creative techniques that work best for you and techniques to help you find your own voice. My 2.5 decades of experience as a professional performance storyteller trainer, creative facilitator and a martial artist, make it clear to me that people’s different life journeys mean that each person is unique. Thus I am committed to working with you and your uniqueness in order to design techniques that are perfectly suited to your own personality and style What can you expect to learn from me? Through a very creative blend of inspiration, coaching and creative facilitation. You will learn: To identify the power of your core storytelling intentions To create and tell inspirational stories To modify the tone of your voice at will and to practise breathing techniques that make this easy To embody and project your own voice To speak in a compelling way How to creatively embrace discomfort and discover the power inherent in stage fright So if you think that improving your voice and being able to speak in compelling ways will impact your life and work in positive ways, then I can honestly say, I’m looking forward to helping you make that a reality.
