About Christian
I am a German native who has travelled widely and lived as well as worked in almost every continent.
Teaching has always been my passion since leaving High School starting as a kind of Peace Corps teacher in Africa. For the last 15 years I have been teaching German and English and coaching on and off as time permitted. My current students are from the US, Brazil, Czech Republic, Singapore, Austria and the Netherlands.
I am also a professional language coach with MHC ((concealed information) which includes giving group classes as well as communication seminars in German and English.
We have two grown up kids and my hobbies are everything outdoor, training every day as well as traveling when possible.

We will design our lessons together to ensure that your valuable time is well spent.
However, if lessons aren't fun, not much will be absorbed or retained. Therefore I like to mix it up to keep my students motivated. Since most of my students have very busy lives, I am flexible in adjusting the schedule or pace as needed should something important come up at work.
Most of my beginner level students prefer a dynamic and fun mix of a basic grammar foundation, confident oral communication, business writing and presentation skills as well as understanding German business culture.
My advanced students have more detailed requirements and we focus a bit more on specific tasks or processes that they encounter on a regular basis with their German colleagues or during their business trips.
I have also had students that needed tutoring to pass their exam at the Goethe Institut.
My own business background of 20+ years working in Germany, Africa, Latin America and the United States in Fortune500 companies as well as Silicon Valley start-ups allows me to understand my students perspective and needs.
