About Franziska

はじめまして、Franzi です。
I teach Japanese to beginners with a focus on confident conversation, natural pronunciation, and a clear introduction to grammar and Japanese writing.
As half-Japanese, I grew up in Germany and studied Japanese for nine years at a Japanese language school in Germany.
I then spent three years living and working in Japan, including working for an international luxury hotel group. This experience has given me a perspective on Japanese that goes beyond the classroom. I have experienced the language through everyday life, work, culture, and real communication in Japan.
My goal is not only to teach you vocabulary and grammar, but to help you understand how Japanese is actually used in everyday situations and give you the confidence to communicate naturally.
My lessons combine structure, practical application, and personal guidance. We build your Japanese step by step while putting what you learn into practice from the very beginning.

Step by step, we will develop your skills — from your first Hiragana characters and simple sentences to confident everyday communication.
My goal is to make sure that you don't just understand Japanese, but actively use it from the very beginning.

How the Lessons Work
Every lesson is individually tailored to your goals, learning pace, and current level.
A regular 60-minute lesson follows a clear structure:
01 · Conversation
We practise speaking Japanese and work through realistic everyday situations.
02 · Review
We review previously learned material and actively put it into practice.
03 · New Content
We introduce new grammar and practical vocabulary.
04 · Interactive Practice
You consolidate what you have learned through exercises and apply it in context.

After each lesson, you receive the lesson materials and personal feedback.
If you wish, I can also provide short homework assignments so that you can continue practising between lessons and make steady progress.
