About Soca
My name is Soca, I was born and raised in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and have used both Bahasa Indonesia and Javanese for my everyday life. I am currently studying Film at Santa Monica College in California.
I am passionate about film, art, and culture. I would be happy to include these interests in our lessons.
My goal is to create a relaxed and comfortable environment where you can learn the Javanese language.

I offer beginner Javanese lessons focused on everyday conversation and cultural understanding. As someone born and raised in Yogyakarta, I can introduce you to natural Javanese as it is used in daily life, starting with basic vocabulary and expressions, Ngoko for casual conversation, and the basics of Krama for more polite situations. The lessons are relaxed and practical, with a focus on helping you understand and use Javanese in real-life situations while getting to know Javanese culture.
