About Chris
I am a multi-instrumentalist, with guitar being my main instrument. I studied Jazz in high school and college, however extremely passionate about all types of music. I have 35 years experience performing, recording and teaching the guitar. I tailor each lesson to a particular student, however I firmly believe all music students should have basic theory knowledge.

I have found that the best way to start is to have a discussion with the student and find out exactly the what the goals are. Teaching a new student is always the most fun and most tricky. The first three months are crucial. If the student is in anyway uncomfortable with the guitar as far as holding it, using a pick, or correct way to place fingers on fretboard, getting these basics corrected early on are very beneficial and will keep the student practicing and more importantly, coming back.
Each student gets a tailor made lesson plan with easily attainable short term goals. Again, it’s all about keeping the student excited about learning while I teach the basics and hammer in the importance of practicing.
