About Cindy
I’m a native Korean speaker from South Korea and a UCLA graduate with a degree in Psychology. I have spent much of my professional career working with people, as a Human Resources Director and consultant, life coach, and radio guest speaker in the Korean-American community.
My background in psychology, coaching, and HR has given me a deep understanding of communication and the different ways people learn, express themselves, and build confidence.
I’ve lived in both Korean and American cultures and am raising two bilingual children in Los Angeles, so I understand firsthand that learning a language is about much more than translating words. It’s also about understanding culture, context, tone, and the subtle differences in how people actually communicate.
I’m patient, encouraging, and genuinely enjoy connecting with people. Whether you’re learning Korean for travel, relationships, work, K-culture, or simply because you love the language, I’ll meet you where you are and help you become a more confident Korean speaker.
You don’t have to be perfect to start speaking Korean. Let’s learn naturally, one conversation at a time!

My lessons are designed to make Korean feel natural, practical, and enjoyable, not like memorizing a textbook.
I believe we remember a language best when we connect it to our own lives. Instead of simply memorizing vocabulary and grammar, you’ll learn Korean through real conversations, situations, stories, and topics that genuinely interest you.
Every student learns differently, so I personalize each lesson based on your level, personality, interests, and goals. We can use K-dramas, music, Korean culture, travel, food, relationships, or everyday situations as part of our lessons.
For beginners, I’ll help you build a strong foundation while encouraging you to speak Korean from the very beginning. For conversational learners, we’ll focus on natural expressions, pronunciation, listening, and the way Koreans actually communicate in everyday life.
Most importantly, this is a comfortable, judgment-free place to practice. Making mistakes is part of learning. My goal is to help you feel confident enough to speak, even before your Korean feels perfect.
