About Okawada

Hello! I’m a university student and a native Japanese speaker. I am not a certified Japanese teacher, but I have strong communication experience through sales and working with many different people. This has taught me how to listen carefully, understand individual needs, and explain ideas in a simple and patient way. I decided to teach Japanese because I enjoy helping others communicate with confidence and discover real Japanese language and culture. In my lessons, I create a friendly and relaxed environment where beginners can speak without feeling embarrassed about mistakes. I can introduce natural expressions used in daily life, casual phrases commonly used by young people, and useful Japanese for travel, school, work, and conversation. We will move at your pace, focus on your goals, and build your confidence step by step.

About the lesson

In the first lesson, we will talk about your current level, goals, interests, and the situations in which you want to use Japanese. Based on that, I will create a lesson plan that fits your pace and priorities. Lessons can focus on everyday conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, travel Japanese, school or workplace expressions, free talk, and JLPT study support. I will give clear and friendly feedback, correct unnatural expressions, and explain better ways to say what you mean. Beginners can start with greetings, self-introductions, and simple sentence patterns, while more advanced learners can practice natural conversation and detailed expression. I also introduce real Japanese used by native speakers, including casual phrases and cultural context that are often missing from textbooks. The goal is not only to understand Japanese, but to use it with more confidence in real situations.

Details

The first 60-minute lesson is free. During this session, we will discuss your current Japanese level, goals, interests, and preferred learning style. We will also have a short conversation practice, and I will suggest a lesson plan that suits your needs.

Regular lessons are 1,500 yen per hour, with no additional fee for online lessons. The price includes lesson preparation, conversation practice, corrections for pronunciation, grammar, and unnatural expressions, as well as personalized feedback.

Beginners are always welcome. Lessons can be customized for everyday conversation, travel, school, work, free talk, or JLPT study support. If any learning materials are needed, we will discuss and choose them together in advance.
