About Ellie
I grew up in Japan surrounded by music: my mother was a classical singer and conductor, while my father filled our home with jazz piano and records. Bach became a lifelong love, while intensive listening to Take 6 trained my ears. I hold a degree in Piano Performance from Boise State University and have raised three musical children. My teaching is energetic, demanding, and deeply musical.

Each lesson develops the whole musician through expressive playing, technique, music theory, ear training, sight-reading, rhythm, and creativity. Students perform regularly, build confidence, and learn to understand music deeply. With focused guidance and consistent practice, they develop the skills to play, create, and enjoy music independently.
