I am a piano teacher with over 9 years of experience helping students prepare for music exams, college auditions, and professional performances. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Piano, which gives me a strong foundation in both technique and performance. My approach is personalized and motivating, adapting each lesson to suit the student’s goals, strengths, and learning style. I focus on building confidence, musicality, and technical skill, while keeping lessons engaging and inspiring. I guide students through sight-reading, theory, improvisation, and performance preparation. Whether a student is aiming for an exam, audition, or gig, I provide structured guidance and practical strategies for success. I encourage creativity, expression, and the development of a unique musical voice. I celebrate progress at every stage, helping students stay motivated and enjoy the learning process. My teaching approach focuses on helping students grow both technically and creatively on the piano. I guide learners from beginner to advanced levels, tailoring lessons to their goals and pace. I emphasize strong fundamentals in technique, sight-reading, and expressive playing.
I integrate music theory, history, and composition into lessons so students understand the “why” behind what they play. I also prepare students for exams like ABRSM, Rockschool, and A-Levels, making sure each step aligns with the curriculum while keeping learning enjoyable. Creative skills such as improvisation, songwriting, and exploring different styles are a key part of my lessons.
I support students who are passionate about jazz or pop, helping them refine their style and excel with confidence. Lessons combine structured practice with fun, interactive exercises to foster musical curiosity. I encourage self-expression while ensuring strong technical and theoretical foundations.
My goal is for students to feel confident performing, composing, and experimenting with music. I celebrate progress, no matter how small, and help learners overcome challenges. Every lesson is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love for piano.
