About Kelly
Hi, I'm Kelly! I'm 16 and I've been playing piano for years. I've passed AMEB Grade 6, and I'm so excited to help you start your own piano journey!
I remember what it felt like to be a beginner. Some bits were super fun, and some tricky bits made me want to give up. Now I know how to make the hard stuff feel easy, and I'll explain everything in a way that makes sense.
In my lessons, you'll learn to read music, play cool songs and get better every week. There are no scary tests and no boring lessons. I'll always be patient, and mistakes are totally okay because that's how we learn!
Lessons are online, so you can learn from home on your own piano or keyboard. I can't wait to meet you and hear you play your first song!

Hi, I'm Kelly, a 16 year old pianist who has completed AMEB Grade 6. I teach beginner kids online, and because I was learning these early grades not long ago, I know what helps and what gets boring.
How my 40-minute lessons work:
Warm-up (5 min): Finger exercises and easy scales to get comfortable at the keys.
Note reading and rhythm (10 min): Simple, game-style activities so reading music feels easy rather than scary.
Learning a piece (20 min): We work on a song step by step, in small sections, at your child's pace. Songs are a mix of classical beginner pieces and popular tunes they love.
Wrap-up (5 min): A quick play-through, plenty of encouragement, and a small, achievable practice goal for the week.
My teaching approach:
I keep lessons relaxed, positive and patient. Every child learns differently, so I adjust the pace and style to suit them. I use my own AMEB experience to teach good technique, posture and note reading from day one, and I focus on building confidence so kids actually enjoy practising.
Who my lessons are for:
Beginner children, roughly ages 6 to 12, with no experience needed. They're also great for kids who've started piano but want a friendlier, more fun approach. Lessons are online, and all your child needs is a piano or keyboard and a device with a camera.
Experience:
AMEB Grade 6 piano, with years of regular practice and performing. I'm new to teaching, which means I'm enthusiastic, affordable and committed to helping every student improve.
