About Cee
I'm Cecil, a qualified UK teacher and saxophonist specialising in alto and soprano. I've spent over 30 years playing and refining music by ear, and I now teach saxophone exactly that way — no sheet music, no jargon, no gatekeeping. Just you, the instrument, and the songs you actually want to play. My students make real sounds on real songs from lesson one, because that's what keeps people playing. If you've always wanted to play sax but theory put you off, you're exactly who I teach best.

Most saxophone lessons start with theory and sheet music — and most beginners quit before playing a song they love. I teach the opposite way. I'm a qualified UK teacher and I've refined my play-by-ear method over 30 years. You'll learn by listening, copying and feeling the music — playing real songs from your very first lessons, not counting crotchets. I specialise in alto and soprano saxophone, and I'm one of very few online teachers with a genuine soprano specialism. Lessons are relaxed, online over Zoom, and completely beginner-friendly.
