  • 1) What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.

I started practicing sport seriously in my early teenage years, around 13–14. At that time, I was overweight and lacked confidence. Sports became my way of transforming myself. Kickboxing in particular gave me structure and discipline — it taught me how to turn weakness into strength and shaped me into who I am today.
  • 2) What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?

At a high level: Boxing and Kickboxing — I hold a 4th Dan black belt, I’m a 2nd grade certified kickboxing instructor, and I’ve competed and won a state championship. I’ve also had the honor of coaching the state team at the national championship.

As a hobby: Fitness and strength training — I use it to complement my martial arts, improving strength, endurance, and explosiveness.

To discover: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — I’d love to explore grappling to round out my martial arts background and sharpen my skills as a complete fighter.
  • 3) What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?

My motivation comes from transformation. I know what it feels like to be overweight and insecure, and I also know what it feels like to fight, train, and earn respect through discipline. That personal journey, combined with the chance to pass on my knowledge as a coach, keeps me passionate about kickboxing and sports in general.
  • 4) Do you have a sporting achievement that you're particularly proud of?

I’m proud of two milestones. The first is getting my dan 4 Black belt — the result of years of dedication and hard work. The second is coaching the state team at the national championship, where I shifted from being an athlete to a mentor. Both showed me the power of sport in changing lives.
  • 5) How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?

My journey taught me that success in sport is not just about talent, but about resilience and persistence. Starting as an overweight teenager, becoming a champion, and later coaching at the national level gave me a complete perspective — as an athlete, an instructor, and a leader. Those challenges made me more disciplined, patient, and focused on growth beyond the ring.
  • 6) If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?

I would choose Mike Tyson. His journey from adversity to dominance is inspiring. I’d ask him how he managed fear before his fights, how he kept his discipline at the highest level of competition, and what advice he’d give to the next generation of fighters and coaches.
  • 7) How do you help people stay motivated?

I share my own transformation as proof that change is possible. I also emphasize discipline over motivation — because motivation fades, but habits build champions. As an instructor, I push my students to celebrate progress, stay consistent, and use sport as a tool to build strength in every area of their lives.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof in sports?

I bring together experience, discipline, and passion. I combine technical mastery with years of competition and coaching. I’ve stood in the ring as a champion, but I’ve also stood outside the ropes guiding a team at the national level. That balance between fighter and mentor makes me a well-rounded coach who can inspire, teach, and transform athletes at any stage.
