About Nika

I'm Nika, a native Russian speaker with over 9 years of university teaching experience and many years of private tutoring. I now live in the UK and specialise in teaching Russian to English-speaking adults.
My lessons are ideal if you want to:

learn Russian from scratch

prepare for travel

communicate with your partner or family

improve your speaking confidence

understand Russian culture alongside the language Every lesson is personalised to your goals, learning style and pace. I create all teaching materials myself and explain grammar clearly, without making it feel overwhelming.

Lessons are friendly, well-structured and fully taught in English, so complete beginners are always welcome.

I offer a free first lesson, where we'll discuss your goals, assess your current level (if applicable) and create a learning plan that works for you.

I'd love to help you discover that learning Russian can be enjoyable, practical and rewarding.

About the lesson

Learning a new language can feel intimidating, especially if you've never studied Russian before. My goal is to make every lesson relaxed, encouraging and easy to follow, so you'll always feel comfortable asking questions and learning at your own pace.

Whether you're learning Russian for travel, your partner or family, work, or simply because you've always wanted to understand the language, I'll create lessons that match your personal goals and interests.

I prepare all of my own teaching materials, combining grammar, conversation, listening and real-life situations to help you build confidence step by step. Every lesson is personalised, so you'll never feel likeyou're following a generic textbook.

My lessons are taught entirely in English, making them suitable even for complete beginners.
