About Liza

Hi! I’m Liza, a native Russian speaker currently based in the UK. I’m a friendly, patient and creative person who genuinely enjoys teaching and meeting new people.

I’m currently studying Psychology and also work as a piano teacher. Teaching music has taught me how to adapt to different learning styles, explain things clearly and create a comfortable environment where students feel confident making mistakes and asking questions.

I’ve also learned English and currently studying Spanish and French, so I know from personal experience what it’s like to learn a new language — the challenges, the little victories and the moments when something finally clicks. This also helps me understand what works well for different learners and how to make the process more enjoyable and less overwhelming.

I’m passionate about languages, music, art and psychology, and I love having interesting conversations with people from different backgrounds. I believe learning a language should be enjoyable, practical and connected to real life.

I’d love to help you discover Russian, build your confidence and enjoy the process along the way!

About the lesson

We can focus on whatever is most useful for you — speaking and conversation, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, reading or listening. If you are a complete beginner, we can start from the basics and gradually build your confidence. If you already speak some Russian, we can focus on improving your fluency and making your speech sound more natural.

I like to use real-life topics and situations, so you can learn Russian that you can actually use outside the classroom. I also adapt my lessons to your interests, goals and learning style.

My aim is not only to teach you Russian, but also to make you feel comfortable speaking it. Mistakes are completely normal and are simply part of the learning process. We’ll work at a pace that feels right for you and celebrate your progress along the way!
