About Nicholas
Sensei Nicholas started training in the martial arts in 2002 and has trained in the martial arts for over 10 years under the instruction of various teachers. He spent 2 years training Greco-Roman style Wrestling, 2 years in Shindo-Jinen-Ryu Karate, and 6 years in ChunJiDo. Nicholas began to test his karate skills in the late 2000s and competed in various tournaments including the Mighty River Classic and Shorin-Ryu Open Karate Championships. Nicholas placed and won trophies and medals in each of the tournaments that he competed in. Nicholas was given the wonderful opportunity to travel as a part of a church mission trip from 2011 – 2012 where he gave karate demonstrations all over the United States and overseas in Trinidad and Tobago. He also taught as an assistant karate instructor at a public charter school in Harlem, NY.
