Hi, I’m a passionate singing tutor with over 8 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theater Voice. I specialize in guiding students of all levels—whether you're in school, college, or exploring music as an adult or professional. My lessons are personalized to fit your goals, voice type, and musical style, making sure your journey feels both rewarding and fun. I teach a wide range of genres, including classical, pop, movie songs, and folk. I also help students develop essential skills in ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory. Whether you're starting from scratch or refining your craft, I focus on building vocal confidence with safe, effective techniques. Every voice is unique, and I believe in nurturing that individuality with care and precision. My approach is interactive and supportive, designed to bring out the best in each student. For both *The Fiddler* and *The Music Major*, building vocal confidence starts with a safe, encouraging space where mistakes are seen as steps toward growth. Confidence grows when singers hear themselves improve—this is why we focus heavily on consistent practice and personal milestones. To sharpen pitch accuracy, we use targeted ear training apps that strengthen listening skills and help internalize pitch before producing it vocally. These tools are essential, especially for *The Fiddler*, whose instrumental background often supports tonal awareness but might lack vocal precision.
Breathing exercises are central. Proper breath control supports tone, sustains phrasing, and reduces tension. Both personas benefit from diaphragm-focused routines, which increase stamina and allow more expressive delivery. *The Music Major*, who may already have theory knowledge, can especially benefit from applying that theory to real-time breath placement and phrasing choices.
Vocal health is non-negotiable. Daily vocal warm-ups, hydration, and mindful speaking habits keep the voice resilient and ready. We use recording devices during sessions so students can hear their progress and correct subtle issues like nasality or strain. Metronomes help both with timing and phrasing, especially in complex arrangements or ensemble work. Tailored techniques—like vowel tuning for *The Fiddler* or dynamics control for *The Music Major*—align with each student's strengths and goals, making every session personal and productive.
