About Aylin

Hi! I’m Aylin, a native Slovak speaker originally from Slovakia and currently living in the UK.

I have previous experience tutoring English in Slovakia and have always enjoyed helping others build their confidence with a new language. I also hold both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Psychology, which has given me a strong understanding of different learning styles, communication and the importance of adapting my approach to each individual.

I know that learning a new language can sometimes feel intimidating, especially when it comes to speaking, so I aim to make my lessons friendly, encouraging and judgement-free. I’m patient, approachable and happy to go at your pace.

Whether you want to learn Slovak to connect with family or a partner, prepare for a move or trip to Slovakia, or simply because you are interested in the language, I’d love to help you feel more confident using Slovak in real life.

About the lesson

My lessons are relaxed, practical and tailored to each student and their reasons for learning Slovak. Whether you are learning because you have a Slovak partner or family, are planning to visit or move to Slovakia, or simply want to learn the language, I will adapt the lessons to what you want to achieve.

I like to focus on Slovak that you can actually use in everyday life, combining conversation, useful vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar without making lessons feel overwhelming.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are aimed mainly at adult beginners and conversational learners.
