About ISLAS CANARIAS
My name is Marina and I am from the island of Tenerife. For many years I have been teaching students from all over the world the Spanish spoken on the islands.
My students are people who are planning to come to the Canary Islands and want to live an authentic experience, outside the tourist areas (which are nothing special).
If you can't communicate with the locals, you will be missing out on the best because there is so much more than meets the eye.

I am here to teach you the Spanish we speak in the Canary Islands.
It is a dialect with its own words and expressions and even behaviours that you won't find in any book, academy or language platform. You can only learn it in the houses, in the streets, in the bars and shops ....
I teach intermediate to advanced levels and I do NOT teach the typical tourist who is only interested in the sun and beach of the Canary Islands.
My students want to connect and get to know the real Canary Islands. If you can communicate with the locals you will get off the tourist and commercial beaten track.
You will see that we Canarian people love people who want to learn Spanish and know how to value and respect our nature, gastronomy, traditions and way of life. There is no tourism phobia for students like you.
