About Luis Alfonso

I am a Geological Engineer graduated from the National University of Colombia, one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America. Spanish is my native language, and after more than two years of teaching students from different countries and backgrounds, I have developed a personalized methodology that adapts to each student's goals, pace, and learning style.

I started teaching almost by chance, helping friends who wanted to learn the language — and I immediately fell in love with it. As an engineer, I am naturally drawn to problem-solving and clear communication, and teaching is exactly that. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a student go from struggling with basic sentences to speaking with real confidence, and that is what drives me every single day.

About the lesson

Are you ready to learn real Spanish, not just grammar rules?
My name is Luis Segura, I am a Geological Engineer graduated from the National University of Colombia — one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America — and Spanish is my native language. For over two years, I have been teaching Spanish to students of different levels and backgrounds, and what sets me apart is simple: no two classes are the same.
Every student has a different pace, different goals, and a different way of learning. That is why, before we even start, I take the time to understand exactly what you need — whether it is for traveling, working, passing an exam, or simply speaking with more confidence — and I build a personalized methodology around that.

As a native speaker, I do not just teach you textbook Spanish. I teach you the language as it is actually spoken: with its expressions, its culture, its nuances, and its natural flow.
And as an engineer, I am trained to explain complex concepts in a clear, structured, and logical way. That same approach goes into every single class: clarity, structure, and real, measurable progress.

You will feel the difference from the very first lesson. Your time is valuable, and I make sure every minute of our classes counts.
