About Evelyn

Hello, I'm a native Spanish speaker, and I'm from Mexico. I came to live in the United States when I was 10 years old. I have been speaking Spanish all my life. I'm here to help you speak and understand it. I've worked with all types of students: high school students, early childhood students, and beginner adults. Whether you're learning for a class, traveling, working, or for personal growth, my sessions are simple, structured, and clear. You'll be speaking from day one. You'll ask questions without feeling judged. And you'll receive honest support without pressure or stress. I'll always explain why something is important, not just tell you to memorize it.

About the lesson

My goal is to help you speak and understand Spanish, not just memorize words. I focus on conversation, listening, and building confidence.

I begin each lesson with a question: What do you need help with? How are you feeling? What's happening in your life that we can't speak in Spanish? We then go through a combination of speaking, listening, and brief grammar reviews when necessary. We end with a quick review and something small for you to try on your own before the next session.
I use simple materials: real-life dialogues, songs, short articles, and everyday examples. I won't overwhelm you with rules. I explain clearly and slow down when necessary. I also pay close attention to how you're learning and adapt as we go.What sets me apart is that I listen, I like to be patient, and I like to help my students learn to speak the language. I went through that when I was little, learning to speak English. I don't follow a script.
I adapt to you wherever you are, whether you're just starting out or want to become more fluent. I'm a native speaker, but I also remember what it's like to be new to something. I'll never rush you. These lessons are for everyone!
