About Margaret

As a native speaker of English and a competent Thai speaker, I have a great understanding of what it takes to learn a language, as well as the skills to help you achieve your goals. I am also highly qualified, with many years teaching English both in New Zealand and Thailand. Having lived and worked in Thailand for 8 years, I also have a big heart for Asians, and have also hosted homestay students from many nations, here in New Zealand.

About the lesson

Lessons are normally one hour, and can be tailored to meet your goals and needs. I use the communicative approach, with a strong emphasis on personalization. I have over 20 years experience, teaching adults at all levels, both in private language schools and community-based classes. I hold the Trinity College Certificate in TESOL and the Cambridge University Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA). In addition, having lived and worked overseas and learned to speak Thai fluently, I have an excellent understanding of the challenges of learning a language.
