About Nicholas
I'm a photographer with 25 years of experience working as an Advertising, Editorial and Travel Photographer. I started in Photojournalism covering the end of Apartheid in South Africa and then progresses to Studio Photography in London, Fashion and Entertainment in Cape Town and finally to Editorial and Advertising.

I always start with a needs analysis! What do you want to create and what do you need to know so you can create it?
Then I structure a course specific to your needs, but based on my best practice workflow methods and my understanding that photography is best understood as a part of the creative expression of humans that begins with cave paintings and extends to this very moment.
I teach the technical and the more subtle creative aspects of photography together, as they both inform one another.
The core of my teaching is based on a Course I designed a few years ago called 'Zen and the Art of Photography'. Cameras are great, technique is great, but Great Photographs are made with the MIND!
