About Kimaya

From Corporate Professional to Educator & Education Leader
Hello, I’m Kimaya — an educator, mentor, trainer, content professional and certified iGCBT Practitioner based in India.

My professional journey began in 2010 with Infosys, followed by my experience with TCS, where I worked until 2017. My corporate career gave me a strong foundation in professional communication, technology, structured problem-solving and working with diverse teams.
In 2017, I made a conscious transition into the education sector, turning a long-standing passion for teaching into my full-time career.
My connection with teaching, however, started much earlier. As a teenager, I began teaching underprivileged children voluntarily and without charging a fee. That early experience shaped my belief that education is not simply about transferring knowledge — it is about helping learners discover their potential and believe in themselves.

My Journey in Education

After transitioning into education, I built experience across teaching, academic coordination, content development, school education, international education, EdTech and teacher training.

2017 onwards — Education Sector

Academic Coordinator & SOF School Coordinator — Global Public School, Fatehpur, Kangra
I worked in a school environment supporting academic coordination and school-level academic and Olympiad-related activities.
Content Designer & Proofreader — Grades 3–8
I worked on educational content across Physics, English, and Mathematics, developing and reviewing material with attention to accuracy, clarity, and age-appropriate learning.
International Coordinator — Engineering & Management Education
I worked with students in higher education, supporting international academic coordination and communication.
️ Visiting Faculty — Personality Development
I conducted personality development sessions within a K–12 boarding school environment, including working with teachers.
My EdTech Experience
2020–2024 | BYJU’S — Coding & Mathematics Tutor
I worked as a Coding and Mathematics Tutor, teaching students through online learning and helping them build conceptual understanding, logical thinking, problem-solving abilities and confidence.
This experience also gave me the opportunity to work with students from different backgrounds and learning environments, including international learners.
*2025–2026 | Techademy Skills — Operations Head*
I progressed into an EdTech leadership role as Operations Head, where I worked across academic and operational processes and coordinated with educators and students.

This role gave me a broader understanding of how effective learning programs are designed, coordinated and delivered at scale.

️ Education With a Social Purpose

Alongside my professional roles, I have continued to value education as a means of creating opportunities.

As an online mathematics instructor with the Lotus Petal Foundation for 2 years, through the DLF Project, I taught mathematics to scholarship students from grades 5–8.
This experience connected strongly with how my teaching journey began — supporting learners who may benefit greatly from the right guidance, encouragement, and educational opportunities.
Supporting the Whole Learner

I am also a certified iGCBT Practitioner, which has strengthened my interest in understanding behavior, thought patterns, confidence, and the factors that can influence how learners approach challenges.

I also conduct Stress Relief and Wellbeing sessions and have conducted offline sessions for teachers to help them better understand students' academic needs, behavior and learning psychology.

I don't use this perspective to replace academic teaching. Instead, I use it to create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, trying again, and expressing themselves.

Sometimes a learner doesn't need more information. They need a different explanation, encouragement, or the confidence to try again.

Why I Teach

My journey has taken me from corporate technology, to education, to teaching, academic coordination, EdTech, and education leadership** — but one thing has remained constant: my desire to help people learn and grow.

Today, I teach mathematics, coding, public speaking and Hindi, adapting my lessons to the learner's age, level, goals and learning style. I want my students to leave my classes with more than completed exercises or memorized concepts. I want them to develop:
Curiosity • Confidence • Communication • Critical Thinking • Problem-Solving • A Love for Learning
For me, teaching is where my professional experience and personal purpose come together.

If you’re looking for a tutor who brings corporate experience, EdTech expertise, school-level academic experience, international exposure, and a genuine passion for student development, I’d love to help you or your child learn, grow, and become more confident.**

I believe that every child learns differently, so my classes are personalized, interactive and designed around the learner’s level, pace and goals. My aim is not just to help students complete their syllabus but to help them understand concepts, think independently, communicate confidently and enjoy learning.
My Teaching Approach
I use a combination of concept-based teaching, practical examples, interactive activities, questioning, guided practice, and regular feedback. I simplify difficult concepts and encourage students to participate rather than simply listen.

For Math and Coding, I focus on strong fundamentals, logical thinking, problem-solving and practical application.

For Public Speaking, I use conversation, storytelling, vocabulary-building, role plays, presentations, impromptu speaking and confidence-building activities.

For Hindi, especially for non-native speakers, lessons focus on everyday communication, vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, reading, and writing.

What Does a Typical Class Look Like?

A quick warm-up or recap
Introduction/revision of the day’s concept
Interactive explanation with examples
Guided practice and activities
Questions, discussion, or problem-solving
Feedback and corrections
A short recap and practice task for the next session

The structure is flexible and can be adapted according to the student's needs and learning goals.

What Makes My Classes Different?

With experience teaching students from India and international backgrounds, I understand the importance of adapting lessons to different curricula, learning styles and cultural backgrounds.

I focus on creating a friendly, patient, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes—because mistakes are an important part of learning.

I also bring professional experience from my time as a Coding and Mathematics Tutor with BYJU’S (2020–2024).

Who Are My Classes For?
My classes are primarily designed for:

**School students – Grades 3–8**
Mathematics
Coding

Students to Professionals (Age 7 to 40+ years)
️ Public Speaking & Communication Skills

Non-native Hindi learners— children, teenagers and adults who want to learn Hindi for conversation, travel, personal or professional communication.
