About Damien
Hello, My name is Damien. I have had a long and interesting career in education- spanning over 20 years!
The first decade was spent working a lot on one to one music lessons, with all ages of students.Then, for the next 5 years I started to teach whole classes music in a variety of schools; this particular work was with "Year 3" students, who were aged between 7 to 8. For the last 5 years, I have also been working as a cover supervisor.This role has included me working with students from EYFS up to KS5 In all popular subjects.
I have worked with SEN students and produced lesson plans and schemes of work for many terms. Please send me a message and we can work towards your goals together,
My current private students study a wide range of subjects, and I offer the fairly unique option of combining musical instrumental lessons with GCSE subjects.
For instance, I have students who will study over two hours. Mixing mathematics and drum kit. I have also worked a lot with students who have been diagnosed with illness, that prevents them from going school.
So I value and use programs of study such as the "peace education project", that helps students deal with anxiety and low self esteem.
