About Zia
I have spent over 3 years teaching French with a focus on literature, philosophy, and critical interpretation. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Language Education (French), I prepare students for the rigor of university-level study. My lessons dive into the great movements of French thought—from the Enlightenment to existentialism—and the literature that reflects them. Students learn to read with precision, analyze with depth, and write with authority. We work through complex essays, developing the ability to express abstract ideas clearly. In my lessons, we turn your everyday devices into tools for learning French. You’ll gain vocabulary for smartphones, computers, apps, and online platforms. I adapt lessons for both Immigrant/Newcomer and Academic/Linguist students. For newcomers, I keep it conversational and practical for daily use. For academics, I include structured discussions on technology’s role in society. Listening and speaking exercises help you sound natural in tech conversations. We also focus on clear pronunciation, so your words are understood the first time. Feedback is direct and encouraging, helping you progress faster. By the end, you’ll speak about technology in French with ease and confidence. Our aim is simple: make French your go-to language for all things digital.
