About Aaron
Hey! I have just graduated from the University of Sussex with a 1st class degree in Neuroscience and Psychology. During this time I spent a year overseas in Japan where I learnt to convey my ideas, breaking through the language barrier, helping to form my thorough communication techniques. I am a bright and bubbly young man looking for some work helping those who are in need of an extra push academically. When you book a tutoring lesson with me, expect the following: - a warm and friendly persona - I believe that creating a solid relationship with my students is the key to efficient learning. If you can enjoy the lesson, the learning will not become a burden. - a thorough approach to tutoring - I do not like to move on from a concept until you can prove to me that you have understood the principle - a clear and confident communicator - I like to draw comparisons and metaphors to everyday life so that I teach about concepts do not seem so abstract. I am a native English speaker so am able to tackle even the hardest of problems with confidence. I look forward to meeting every single one of you ! It is a pleasure to recommend Mr Aaron Benjamin for a tutor position at this site. I have known Aaron since 2018. In the course of his degree he took a module called Neuronal Transduction and Transmission, which I was responsible for. This provided me with an opportunity to assess Aaron’s academic ability and professional potential. In this module, he demonstrated a mature and responsible approach to his studies and was in the top 10%. In his final year Aaron worked under my supervision on his literature-based research project. The main aim of the project was to conduct a critical analysis of the relationship between adverse prenatal exposures, neurodevelopmental pathology and neuroepigenetics. From the very first day, Aaron has been working methodically on this project showing very good abilities to learn quickly new skills and concepts. I have guided Aaron in his project, and I was impressed by the very high level of independent research conducted by Aaron as well as by his excellent analytical and writing skills. To conclude, Aaron is a highly educated, enthusiastic and responsible young gentleman with confidence and respect for others. He has an outgoing personality and should fit in well with most people. I am confident that Aaron will be an asset to your program and have no hesitation in recommending him to you.
Aaron was a BSc Neuroscience (with Psychology Studies) student at Sussex University between 2015 and 2019 (with a study abroad year), who graduated with a 1st class (honours) degree in June 2019. During his studies he was one of my academic advisees and I taught and assessed him on various neuroscience modules throughout his BSc. Aaron was a talented and motivated student who excelled at his studies. He also had excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a great ability to explain complex scientific concepts very clearly. I have no doubt that Aaron will do a great job as a tutor and I highly recommend him for this job.
