About Charlie
I’m currently a college student at The Lir Academy in Dublin and I recently completed the Leaving Certificate myself, so I know how stressful the Irish Oral can feel. I’ve always enjoyed spoken Irish and I want to help other students become more comfortable and confident using it. My approach is relaxed, friendly and encouraging, with a strong focus on actually speaking Irish rather than just learning pages of answers off by heart.

My lessons are focused on making the Irish Oral feel much less intimidating. We’ll work through conversation topics, pronunciation, useful vocabulary, the Sraith Pictiúr and mock oral questions at a pace that suits you. I’ll help you improve your answers so they sound natural rather than completely learned off, while also pointing out common mistakes and ways to pick up extra marks. The aim is to build confidence speaking Irish so that by the time the oral comes around, you feel comfortable having an actual conversation rather than panicking over a script.
