About Aaqil
My name is Dr Aaqil Rifai, and I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. I have a Biomedical Engineering Degree and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from RMIT University. I have a track record of tutoring for 10 years. My experience ranges from working with primary school students to tertiary learners. I specialize in Math, English and Science (Chemistry) and enjoy making learning engaging and accessible for everyone. Teaching is more than just a job for me. I believe that education is the foundation for a successful and fulfilling life. I want to teach because I love seeing when a concept clicks for a student. It’s gratifying to help someone overcome challenges and gain confidence in their abilities. My goal is to inspire a love for learning and equip my students with the skills they need to succeed academically and in life. I believe every student is unique and deserves a personalized approach to learning. By tailoring my teaching methods to fit each student’s needs, I aim to make learning a positive and enriching experience. My teaching philosophy is around building rapport with my students and putting pen to paper. I believe in learning by doing. My classes take on a practical approach where students will engage in solving problems and get real feedback. I like to understand the level of my students and provide a personalised approach. My sessions are usually 2 hours a week, but I can also do split sessions. I have a PhD and Bachelor's with Honours in Biomedical Engineering from RMIT University. I have taught and tutored 100s of students in Maths, English and Science over the past 10 years, across Years 1 to Tertiary (University) level. I am passionate to help students at all levels thrive in their education.

Aaqil began tutoring my grandson 12 years ago. Aaqil helped and encouraged him through years 9 to 12, maths and biology, until he obtained his HSC certificate. During this time Aaqil helped my grandson obtain his Learners permit to drive a car.
