About Sophie
I find teaching a very fulfilling and satisfying job. I enjoy seeing my students improve over time and become more confident with what they're playing. I always ask the students what they want to do in our lessons and what they would like to learn next, because I believe that if they don't wholeheartedly enjoy what they are learning then they won't improve. I do ABRSM exams and have taken students from beginner to grade 4, and am able to take them up to grade 6. But I know exams aren't for everyone so this is optional.

My typical lesson lengths are 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the level of the student. I encourage them to work independently and push them to improve. I also encourage composition and improvisation. I teach from beginner up to grade 5, children and teenagers.
