About Miles

I am an experienced Afrikaans home language speaker and writer, and have several pieces of published creative writing. I am comfortable, confident and capable in the language, and have taught/tutored Afrikaans as a home language, first additional language and foreign language, in CAPS, IEB and Cambridge curricula, specialising in NSC-readiness. With extensive experience in teaching Afrikaans, I have complete faith that I can equip any learner to reach their greatest potential in the language, beginning at any level.

About the lesson

I adjust my lesson plans according to the student's individual need. I spend the first lesson assessing the student's proficiency level, and adjust the lesson plans going forward accordingly. I can also help with specific goals, such as spelling, grammar, reading comprehension, spoken fluency, or preparations for specific assessments and exams. I have experience in IEB and CAPS curricula, from grade 0 to matric, as well as Cambridge A- and AS-levels.
