About Lena
Hi! I’m Lena I was born and raised in Germany and have been living in the U.S. for the past five years. I have two bachelor's degrees and currently completing my master's degree. German is my native language, and I love being able to share my language and culture with children.
I have several years of experience working with kids as a nanny and German tutor. I’m a very positive, patient, and outgoing person, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and finding ways to make learning fun. I love creating a comfortable environment where kids don’t feel pressured or afraid to make mistakes.
Whether your child is completely new to German or already speaks some at home, I’m happy to adapt to their level and help them become more confident and comfortable with the language.

My goal is to make learning German fun and natural for kids! I believe children learn best when they’re enjoying themselves, so I like to combine German with games, songs, stories, creative activities, and everyday conversations.
Since German is my native language, I can help children develop natural pronunciation and become comfortable actually speaking and understanding the language, rather than just memorizing vocabulary. I always adjust my lessons to the child’s age, personality, and current German level. Most importantly, I want kids to look forward to our time together and build confidence in speaking German!
