About Asdrúbal
My name is Asdrúbal. I have been teaching in my local congregation for 24 years: Sunday school for children, a weekly class for teenagers, and a midweek study for adults. This is not a side project for me — it is the work I have organized my week around for a long time, and I have kept doing it consistently, week after week.
Outside of teaching, I work as a data analyst, building reporting and analytics systems for a company in the retail and e-commerce sector. That may sound unrelated, but it shapes how I teach: I prepare in advance, I show my sources, and I never ask anyone to accept a claim without seeing where it comes from. I show up on time, and I come ready.
I am also a published author, having written "When God dismantled my plans" (in either English, Spanish, and Portuguese), on faith through prayer and long-waiting.
I take this seriously. Lessons begin when I say they will begin, I answer messages promptly, and I will tell you honestly if I am not the right teacher for what you need. If a student is not learning, I consider that my problem to solve — not theirs.
I am Venezuelan, I teach online, and I have worked with students of many ages and backgrounds.

I teach the Bible the way I wish someone had taught it to me: as a story that actually happened, to real people, in a real place — not as a list of rules to memorize.
Every lesson follows the same simple rhythm. We open the text and read it together. I set the scene: who wrote this, to whom, and what was happening in the world at that moment. Then we work through the passage line by line, and I stop often to ask questions rather than lecture. We close by naming one concrete thing the passage asks of us this week. The real goal is that students leave with the habit of reading Scripture on their own.
What sets me apart is that I have spent 24 years teaching teenagers, and teenagers are honest — they will not sit still for a boring lecture. So I lean on story, historical background, and archaeology to make the text land. I never dismiss a hard question; the hard questions are where the best conversations start.
My lessons are for teens (roughly ages 10 to 17), adults who are beginning to read the Bible seriously, families who want to study together, and small groups. No prior knowledge is required. I teach from Scripture itself rather than promoting a denominational agenda.
Lessons are available in both English and Spanish — a good fit for Hispanic families who want their children grounded in Scripture in their own language.
