About Abbas
I am a 3rd year PhD student researching cellular senescence and nutrition in ageing. The field of ageing is currently progressing quickly, with most non-specialised people keeping a year or two behind developments. My experience allows me to offer you an insightful, flexible and cutting-edge biological sciences course in my area of expertise, which can give you a leg up on the competition when it comes to wow-ing the correct people. As well, I can offer a deeper understanding of the fundamentals acquired during GCSE, A-levels, and undergraduate biology.
In addition to theory in biology, I would also intrigue you with the wonders of principles in biological research methods such as immunofluorescence microscopy and automation of imaging. Such knowledge form the foundation of breakthrough developments required to progress the science as a whole. This stems from my firm belief that no science should be an isolated discipline.

I have guided and taught BSc undergraduates and MRes students for 4 years now, culminating in award-winning presentations by some of the students, while one has carried on to do a PhD. Thus, I understand that each student has a different way of learning. My default method of teaching is a structured conversation coupled with a somewhat Socratic method. I believe this fosters interest and stimulates thought, leading to intuitive and reproducible acquisition of knowledge.
