About An
I remember one of my first drawings I ever made had pink stegosaurus and green palm trees and hung in my dad's office for years.
My name is An Lusk and making art fuels my life.
I was born in Texarkana, USA. I studied art history, dance, history, music, sculpture, art history, classical literature, and philosophy at Texarkana College (A.S.), Stephen F. Austin SU (B.A), and The University of Dallas (M.A).
I volunteer taught in USA and Chile for 3 years, taught 5 years in grade school and 1 in college.
I currently live, with my plants, in Dallas, Texas.

I teach realistic and creative drawing and painting techniques, Art school preparedness, and Fine Art & Humanities, etc.
I help students, hobbyists, and learning lovers explore creativity, beauty, and a holistic approach to life.
I have tested guided lessons and can curate individual plans.
I teach using a Reggio Emilia Approach inspired method, i.e. the idea that we are active, capable, and valuable members of the community who have strong potential for development and rights as creative beings. We can explore, question, and interpret the world through experiential learning in relationship-driven environments to experience beauty and joy.
Guided lessons can include social emotional learning, short lectures on a subject, studio time to practically apply learning through artmaking, and time for conversation and reflection.
Individual plans we can work on together.
