Book private graffiti lessons in Fort Wayne

Before touching a spray can, you need to understand how graffiti letters work.

• Letter structure: every graffiti style grows from plain, well-proportioned letters. Clean basics keep your later styles from looking sloppy.
• Handstyle means the stylized way you write a name. It is the foundation of nearly every piece.
• Throw-ups are fast bubble letters in one or two colors. Pieces are larger works with several colors, shadows, and 3D effects.
• Daily drills in a sketchbook build speed and control. Move to markers and spray cans once your letters feel steady.

A tutor can also show you legal spots and safe spray techniques once you are ready for walls.

In Fort Wayne, expect to pay about $50/h for a graffiti lesson.

This rate varies depending on several factors:

• Your experience with lettering and spray control
• The tutor's experience and qualifications
• The package you choose (one-off or regular)
• The teaching mode (in-person or video call)

Many tutors offer package discounts for booking multiple lessons.

You do not need a spray can or a wall to begin learning graffiti art.

• Pick a name to write. Choose a short word you like, because you will draw it hundreds of times.
• Sketch simple block letters first. Once they look clean, you can bend, stretch, or twist them.
• Add effects one at a time. Start with an outline and add a shadow or a 3D block later.
• Try real tools after your sketchbook drills improve. Legal walls and workshops give you a safe place to spray.

An instructor can pick the right tools for you and teach clean technique from day one.
