About Taylor
I graduated from Art Center College of Design in 2018 with a BFA in fine arts. I started taking classes in figure drawing at the age of 9. In college I started out in the illustration department in Art Center which is extremely rigorous and I proudly maintain that foundation and keep it in my work to this day. I changed majors because of my urge to work more conceptually and to experiment in other mediums such as sculpture and film. Since graduating in 2018 I’ve worked in film as a scenic artist and eventually as a special effects artist sculpting and painting. I’ve worked on projects you know such as Stranger Things, Guardians of the Galaxy, American Horror Story, just to name a few. Eventually I decided that I missed my personal art practice and needed a change. Since then I’ve been supporting successful and prolific artists in making their paintings come to life as a studio assistant. In addition I work as a tattoo artist and a freelance illustrator alongside my personal practice.

Let’s start with an assessment of where you’re at and what your goals are. What we focus on is unique to each student. We can go heavier on technique or we can focus more on style, developing your voice and honing in on your interests. If you’re interested in art school I can help you with portfolio development and meeting your dream school’s specific requirements and beyond.
Technique development has more to do with learning how to “see” than anything (In my opinion). I truly believe anyone has the ability we just need to unlock it. This will be fun!!

Details
I strongly recommend booking each session for at least 2-3 hours, we'll get so much more done this way. I like to teach through demonstration and actually drawing together. This could mean working with still life, live model or even some plein air painting. Not required but highly recommended to get the most out of your instruction.
