About Terry

I would like to help students to achieve their respective academic goals by helping them to retain and apply subject matter learnt whilst participating in a warm and stimulating exchange of ideas with myself. In so doing, it is my belief that the subject matter covered will be best remembered and will be easier to apply in their respective academic assessments or in their chosen career pathways. Tutoring must be fun and equipped to allow participants to feel confident and fully able to track their progress also. There is a myth that learning can only be mastered by a few and that for one to succeed they must live and attend a predefined institution. However, true learning will only be achieved if the tutor and student are willing to work together in order to achieve the agreed goals. Perfect! Made degree level CompSci FUN
Came to Terry for help with algorithms and coding. He broke down what I needed to do for an assignment and had the answers to all the technical questions. Very patient guy who’s creative enough to use analogies to explain concepts. Encourages persistence through the initial hardship of programming. Would definitely recommend!

Whist pursuing my degree in computer science, I encountered difficulty some of the modules. I was recommended to Mr Walcott, whose assistance I must say was of immense help. He was able to utilise real life scenarios to help me decode and develop a thorough understanding of the areas I had difficulties with. I would recommend him to anyone who has problems understanding certain topics in computer science.
