About Josan
When I was 13 years old, my dad bought me my first electric guitar. I fell in love with playing the guitar so hard that I would spend my summers locked in my room playing for 6 hours straight! My goal was to play as fast and as cool as my guitar heroes of the 80s such as Kirk Hammett and Yngwie Malmsteen. I was so passionate about music that I wanted to play any given opportunity. At age 16, I joined the church worship band playing the bass guitar. By age 18, I got promoted to the lead guitarist and singer. At the same time, I went to college and studied classical guitar and music theory at Santa Monica College for 2 years. I continued advancing my studies on my own. By that point, I was so proficient at the electric guitar that most of my time was spent advancing my skills on the classical guitar. In 2019, I recorded my first heavy metal EP alongside my brother who played the drums. I played the electric guitar, bass guitar, and vocals. Along way, I taught multiple students from church and also some kids outside of church as well. It’s one thing being able to play the guitar and another being able to teach it well. I can do both. I’m good at teaching and I am sure that I can help you achieve your goals with the guitar.

I’ve played in multiple bands over the years and even recorded some metal records.
