Methodology
I am a teacher of English. I have a BA in English and an ESL Endorsement. I tend to let the student drive his learning. I try to find out what you want and need and take it from there. If you need more academic English, we will focus and grammar, reading and writing. If you wish to improve your spoken English, I shall look for ways to bring out your personality when you speak.
Background
This is my 29th year of working as an English teacher. I have worked in Egypt, Turkey, Colombia and Puerto Rico. I have taught high school students, business professionals, doctors, refugees, and so forth.
I have a few success stories. Two that stand out for me are my students who entered my classroom in the 10th grade not speaking English , but have gone on to be professionals. One is an office manager for the local police department, and the other is a math teacher.
