About Bisman

I recently completed my PG Diploma in E-learning, design, and training development from Lambton College, Mississauga. I have done my Master’s research in Human Development and Mental Health which gives me an extra edge to connect with the students more holistically. Throughout my academic journey, I have gained comprehensive knowledge and expertise in learning psychology of children and young adults. I have a deep understanding of effective teaching methodologies. My experience has equipped me with the understanding that children need directions rather than instructions and they will learn along the path. I have the skills to facilitate interesting communication and foster a creative and engaging learning environment.

About the lesson

As a Punjabi language tutor, my approach to teaching and sharing knowledge is tailored to the unique characteristics of language instruction. Here's an outline of my approach:

Teaching Methodology and Techniques:

Interactive Language Learning: Learning a language involves not just understanding its structure but also practicing it actively. I prioritize conversational Punjabi and encourage students to use the language from day one.

Cultural Integration: Language is intertwined with culture. I integrate Punjabi culture, traditions, and customs into lessons to help students grasp the language in its cultural context.

Multimodal Learning: I employ various learning resources, including texts, audio, video, and interactive exercises to engage different learning styles.

Grammar and Vocabulary: I teach Punjabi grammar and vocabulary systematically, helping students build a strong foundation while gradually introducing more complex elements.

Real-Life Scenarios: I simulate real-life scenarios, such as ordering food, making small talk, or visiting a Punjabi-speaking area, to provide practical language skills.

Greetings and Warm-up: We begin with a friendly greeting in Punjabi to set the tone for the lesson.

Introduction: I introduce the main theme or topic of the lesson, which could be a specific aspect of Punjabi language or culture.

Vocabulary Building: We work on building vocabulary related to the lesson topic, and I provide pronunciation guidance.

Grammar Explanation: I explain relevant grammar rules and sentence structures, providing examples to illustrate them.
