About Ben
I’m a fully qualified teacher with over 15 years of experience in Computer Science teaching across schools, colleges, and universities.
I have extensive experience of supporting GCSE and A-Level students in programming, algorithms, and exam preparation. Many of the students I work with feel stuck with Python coding or their A-Level NEA project, and I help break these down step-by-step so they can understand the code and complete their coursework with confidence.
I’ve worked with learners of all ages and abilities, helping them to succeed through clear explanations, supportive guidance, and a friendly, pressure-free environment. Whether you’re preparing for exams, tackling coding coursework, or just need help understanding key concepts, I know how overwhelming it can feel. My approach is structured, calm, and encouraging – I break down complex ideas and help students build confidence, step by step. Excellent! Well organised and focussed on the learning gaps, all good
- Trixie was great to work with — focused, open to feedback, and willing to have a go even when the questions got challenging. We covered key Paper 2 concepts with a clear structure, did some scaffolded pseudocode-to-Python practice, and finished with an exam-style question.
