About Rukaiya
I’m a First Class Mathematics graduate with 6 years of tutoring experience and currently work professionally as a statistician.
I genuinely enjoy helping students become more confident in maths and I’m patient and approachable. I'm committed to helping each student reach their potential. No question is a silly question, even if it feels like it at the time!
I know maths can feel intimidating, especially around exams, so I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace.
My goal is to help students get those high grades while leaving each lesson thinking, “Oh… I can actually do this.”

I have 6 years of experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, alongside a First Class Mathematics degree and professional experience as a statistician. My teaching is personalised to each student, focusing on building genuine understanding and confidence rather than simply memorising methods. I identify gaps in knowledge, explain concepts clearly, and adapt my approach to suit each student’s learning style and needs.
Lessons typically last 1 hour and combine explanation, guided practice and exam-style questions, with a particular focus on exam technique and applying mathematical concepts.
I have supported students across a wide range of abilities, including helping a GCSE student progress from Grade 6 to Grade 9 and another from Grade 3 to Grade 6. My goal is not only to improve grades, but to help students become confident, independent mathematicians.
